Tales of Mild Interest, the brainchild of Tampa-local performers Jesse Hutson and Erica Garraffa, is a collection of short serials performed in the format of an old-time radio show. TMI premiered at this year’s inaugural Tampa International Fringe Festival, where it won a prestigious, plastic, homemade award for “Most Sold-Out Shows!” TMI is performed as a live staged reading, with a bevy of talented voice actors and dedicated live foley sound effect artists. With a solid PG-13 rating, TMI is a feast for the ears that’s fun for just about the whole family! Join TMI for whimsical, wild and just plain weird stories, like: Pendleton Park - Follow the lives of bumbling Lord Pendleton, pernicious Lady Pendleton, and their unfortunate servant staff in this droll faux melodrama. The B-Team! - With powers that are slightly less than super, can Sergeant Stripes, Lone Wolf, The Dungbeetle, and The Incredulous Shrug save the day? Find out in this action-packed superhero romp! Swampy Gunderson: Dracula Hunter - Ever wonder what "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" would be like if you replaced Buffy with grizzled swamp-hobo? Well wonder no more! Grab your crossbows and your bindles and join Swampy and his reluctant sidekick Jimmy, as they battle the Dracula threat at its very source - a public high school in Pasadena, California.
The Special Events room is a more intimate and smaller-scale version of our main events room, hosting events like the METRO Star Party, Rhythm City Chronicles, and other entertainment that lets the performers get up close and personal with the audience! The room has a full theatrical lighting and sound set-up, and boasts a 12' video screen for additional mixed media performance content.
