Come see what it took to make Muse Games's first console release happen. Hear about the technical and design constraints we ran into while bringing a PC centric title onto a new platform. In the talk I'll cover what hurdles we encountered, including the technical constraints of running an older Unity title on the PS4, the design considerations of no longer having a mouse to navigate, and the additional work required to create seamless crossplatform play for a game built on teamwork and communication. I'll also briefly cover the history of the Guns of Icarus amd my history with Muse Games (from a beta tester, to an intern studying game development, to PS4 Engineer). Although this will be a somewhat technical talk, it doesn't require knowledge of any specific technologies to understand.
