Whether creating comic stories of fiction or autobiographic graphic novels, comics writers and artists draw on their backgrounds to create their works. This is especially true in LGBTQ comics. Join Prism Comics and Moderator Tara Madison Avery (Gooch, Anything That Loves) and a diverse group of LGBTQ creators to explore the intersection of queer life and comics - how creators’ upbringings, family lives, relationships and orientations influence and define their works. Panelists will include Mike Sullivan (There's Something Happening in Crawford, Kansas), Slimm Fabert (Doublecross), Marshall Edwards (Prairie City Response), Kelsey Wroten (Jukebox Comix), and Christianne Benedict (Exiles).
Directions from the Exhibit Hall: Cross the skywalk to the east, go down the escalator, turn right at the bottom of the escalator. Rooms 2502 - 2505 are located along this short hallway.
