Geek culture has been on the rise for half a decade. TV networks and streaming services continue to offer science fiction, fantasy, and horror shows. Movies based on comics, graphic novels and even video games are everywhere. Fan conventions are being reported on by mainstream news. Elon Musk shot a Tesla Car into space with "Don't Panic" on the touchscreen. The question is have we, the geeks, risen to the point where the world is now ours to inherit? Is being a geek as cool today as it was two, three, five years ago? Do we like where we've been and where it looks like we're going?
