John Hughes created films that are part of the pop culture fabric that exists today. Hughes knew the importance of music to a movie. With the 10 year anniversary of John Hughes death we would like to honor him by discussing the classic musical moments that helped to tell stories that blended comedy and drama into some of the best classic movies. This panel will focus on the top 10 or so music moments from movies like the Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Weird Science, Planes, Trains, and Automobile and more. Featuring the history behind how and why Hughes chose the songs and moments to use them in his movies, and how those music moments help defined his movies.
