Welcome aboard, passenger! It’s the maiden voyage of the newest starship to sail Earth’s orbit, and you’re invited! This ship was built as a place for humans and machines to exist in harmony – the idyllic vision of Dr. Light himself – so there are sure to be many colorful faces among the crowd, both biological and mechanical! The ship is crewed by mortals and androids from every corner of the universe, as well – a true marvel of collaboration. Not everyone loves the idea of humans and androids living side-by-side though – what will they have to say about this ship and its mission? Surely they won’t show up to cause any harm or endanger the voyage! This year’s show, The Masquerade: Starship, is a new take on classic space opera anime, with themes both romantic and political abound, and potentially even a mystery that you can help solve! The glitz and glamour of ship-bound films like Titanic will ring through the room as the stars streak by and romance blossoms on the dance floor. Be sure to attend the ship’s historic maiden voyage – it will be a once in a lifetime experience, no matter which part of the multiverse you hail from or how many parts of your body are store-bought! And besides. What really makes us human, anyways?
