Making Your Science-Fiction Science Believable

Friday September 17, 2021 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

When you're writing science fiction, you want readers to be able to suspend their disbelief. In this presentation, award-winning science fiction author Eric James Stone will explain how to make your science fiction science more believable. Topics will include: How to come up with science fiction ideas, where to research science topics, how to make your ideas sound plausible, how to avoid or disguise the infodump, planning plausible planets, creating aliens that make evolutionary sense, and creating cultures that make (xeno)anthropological sense.
