Join Boise State University professor Dane Johns as he does a deep dive on the history of government overreach in Comics. From the Mutant Registration Act in the X-men, The Superhero Registration Act of 2009 (known as the Sokovia Accords in the MCU) and the Keane Act in the Watchmen, we’ll look at these laws, and their real world counterparts, and talk about why comic creators insist on depicting these tragic laws in their work.
