Saturday October 2, 2021 10:00 am to 10:45 am

Can verbs, actions a player can take in a game, explain why play feels so good in some games but so bad in another? Join Ohio University researcher Daniel Warmke as he studies how game verbs interact and how the best games put a smile on players' faces. He studied Nintendo games from the Mario and Metroid series to discover part of their formula for success. Results include a way to visualize the verbs in your game to get the most out of their interactions.
