Ever tried to talk to your mom or dad about anime? Worried about which series your kid or friends like? Us too. Terrible, right? Join our panel and learn some communication skills and strategies that can help! We cover proven strategies from many fields that can enhance the success of difficult and awkward conversations. We’ll even practice some live so you can learn in the moment! No conversation too strange, no example too outlandish. Created in response to attendee requests, this workshop teaches practical communication skills that are useful in navigating difficult conversations and making friends. Using psychology and other fields we educate about the science of communication, give tips to apply the science, and then work with attendees to practice live in the moment. Attendees leave with immediately useful skills in talking to their friends and loved ones about their fandom.
