In Volume 3 of our continued Japanese anthology series we will explore the rich history of samurai women in Japanese culture. This panel will discuss the roles and responsibilities of women in samurai society, as well as the myths and legends that have arisen around them. In addition to the historical aspects, we will also examine how samurai women have been portrayed in anime and manga. We will highlight some of the most memorable female samurai characters through discussion and analysis of these characters. We aim to encourage a greater understanding and appreciation of samurai women in both history and anime. Overall, this panel aims to educate and inspire fans of Japanese history and anime to appreciate the legacy of samurai women and their continued relevance in popular culture.
