When only 13% of engineering professionals and only 25% of computer and mathematical scientists in the U.S. are women, the tech community wants answers. SVCC will tackle the question of why women are underrepresented in STEM in a thought provoking and engaging discussion with four women leading their fields in the hope that this dialog will help us move towards a future with stronger participation of women in STEM fields. Join us in discussion with Heather Berlin, a cognitive neuroscientist and Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Tracy Drain, the Deputy Chief Engineer for the Juno Mission to Jupiter, Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux, a beamed energy propulsion pioneer, and Nathalie Cabrol, the Director of the SETI Institute Carl Sagan Center.
