(KT7) Playing with Perspective: Video Game Literacy

Saturday July 1, 2017 2:30 pm to 3:20 pm

Don't just play your video games, engage with them! Videogames are an engaging medium, but not everyone who plays them understands them fully. As videogames evolve as an art form we need to be able to understand our videogames more. What they express and how they express. By applying ideas of media literacy gamers can begin to better understand the videogames they play. This panel seeks to give players the language and knowledge they need to discuss their videogames in more interesting ways. This way when people play their videogames they can begin to understand them in a new way and enhance their enjoyment.
