Animation has had many important LGBTQ characters and relationships throughout its generations. In our panel we will discuss the importance of these shows and characters and how they have helped shape a new generation of acceptance. We will start with the early animations such as Rose of Versailles in the late 70s to Cardcaptor Sakura & Sailor Moon in the 90s and how acceptance has become more common and evolved since then. Then we will go on to talk about more modern animations such as Princess Jellyfish , Yuri on Ice, and Legend of Korra. Amazing characters have affected not just the culture of animation, but also helped increase visibility for the queer community.
