The Super Geek Film Festival Presents: Animated Shorts (1). The participating films are: The Amazing Neckbeard, Empyrean Lost, The Story of a Motorbike, MAK, Dear Death, Alternative Facts, Birdnest Hair, A Fork in the Road, and Count Your Curses. The Amazing Neckbeard (3mins) A comic book nerd discovers what it truly means to be a hero in this stop-motion animated short. Empyrean Lost (5mins) Empyrean Lost by Ryder Ruilyn is a 3D linear animation about a boy who dreams of a lost love. The Story of a Motorbike (6mins) This is a story about a motorbike which is always wanted to go back to the past. MAK (5mins) In the middle of nowhere, out of nothing, something comes to life. A short story about people who are afraid to live. Dear Death (7mins) Stewball, a bipedal horse, is being stalked by Death, from his dreams to his cubicle job. Stewball writes a letter to Death, asking why he's being followed; Death replies, inviting Stewball to meet in the park. There, Stewball plays with a girl who reveals an unexpected perspective on life. Alternative Facts (3mins) An ordinary and uncommentable nature show exploring the wildlife of beautiful Kenya. Birdnest Hair (5mins) ‘Birdnest Hair’ is a playful and sonically exuberant celebration of womanhood and scrappy optimists, inspired by the incredible women in Matt’s life and a newly minted god-daughter, Wednesday. A Fork in the Road (3mins) An AI car must make a life-or-death choice that questions the nature of computational morality. Count Your Curses (9mins) In a town where supernatural beings are part of everyday life, two roommates face a recurring problem: their house spirit was devoured by an unknown creature overnight. They go on their way to find a replacement spirit and a solution to their pest problem.
