Midnight Lair Presents: Writing for Film and Television

Room 351F

Saturday May 26, 2018 - 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

Writing for film and television is its own monster, quite different from writing for novels and short stories. From the structure to the execution, the writer has challenges that novelists do not. The process of revision is different too, involving more than one person and often resulting in heavy amounts of compromise. Learn about the process of writing for film and television, from the conception of an idea to the final draft. Our panelists will bring out real-life examples and experiences, and advise on how to best start one's career in writing for the big or small screen.
