Sunday April 8, 2018 - 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

According to the Oxford Dictionary, fan fiction is “fiction written by a fan of, and featuring characters from, a particular TV series, film, etc.” Does that mean that if screenwriters, directors, and/or producers are fans of comics, the result of their efforts is fan fiction produced by professionals? To help hash this out, join moderator Lee Nordling (two-time Eisner nominee), author/screenwriter David Gerrold (The Man Who Folded Himself, Star Trek, Land of the Lost), comics writer/editor Barbara Randall Kesel (Star Wars, Hellboy, Alien: Genocide), Melinda Snodgrass (Wild Card, Star Trek: TNG episode "The Measure of a Man”), and industry legend Marv Wolfman (after Stan Lee, the creator of more characters produced for film and TV than any other comics creator.
