This session is a workshop/demo that will lead teachers through two secondary English units designed to increase student engagement by using comics and graphic novels. We will provide unit calendars, formative and summative assessments, in class activities, titles, and teaching strategies aligned with Colorado State Reading and Writing Standards. The units both are centered around the themes of transformation and power.
