Who hasn’t wished they could move into a fictional universe? If given the chance, most people would move permanently to Wakanda or join the Rebel Alliance. But, have you ever wondered: who the heck came up with this? What goes on in their mind as they flesh out these rich worlds that we love? How do new creators tell fresh stories? How do new stories become canon? How were they able to tell these stories - both creatively and professionally? Can I do it too? Where do I start? Come hear from leaders across gaming, film and comics Moderated by Evan Narcisse, journalist and co-author of the “Rise of the Black Panther” Marvel comic series, hear from storytellers across gaming, film and comics Kiki Wolfkill (head of Halo transmedia, 343 Industries / Microsoft), Gary Whitta (co-writer of ROGUE ONE: A Star Wars Story), Marv Wolfman (prolific comic book writer and creator of The New Teen Titans, Crisis on Infinite Earths and the character Blade) and Mackenzie Donaldson (producer of Orphan Black and Snowpiercer) about as they discuss immersive universes, backstories on career successes and challenges, transmedia and the future of entertainment, and more.
