This demo will be an exploration of basic techniques for reproducing objects using silicones, resins, foams and more to make props, armor, and costumes. We will focus on mold making techniques using silicone rubber to make block molds brush on molds, etc. We will also cover casting with resins and foams, including pigmenting, surface effects and more to create realistic props and objects. We will show live examples of using our products, utilizing materials that cure quickly so attendees can witness the whole process from model to mold and demold of the casting. This will not be a hands on workshop, but demonstration only. Our highly trained staff will be available to answer any questions that arise throughout.
