Sunday July 10, 2016 - 10:15 am to 11:15 am

An informative lecture that presents ways writers can see their work published, hosted by a writer who has published both romance and YA with small presses. This panel will present how to write an effective query letter. That discussion will be followed up by how to leverage that query letter to get the attention of an agent or an editor at a small press, or turn it into a blurb for a self-published book. Pitfalls and challenges of the different methods of publishing will also be discussed, including when to use a pen name, what to look for in a responsible agent or small press, and how to determine if your work is truly ready for release.
