The Best Critique Group for You

Literary Room 3 (350C)

Saturday June 18, 2016 - 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Critique groups or workshops are a great way for new and experienced writers to improve their stories, but for many these gatherings can seem mysterious or even intimidating. What do writing groups do? How can you find one? Should you try to join one or start your own? The process can be as easy as getting together with a few friends or as difficult as vetting potential participants. However, the most important thing to remember is that critiquers are just people, fellow writers such as yourself. Because of that, finding or creating the right group can be as challenging as keeping one together. This panel of authors will share their experiences, the good and the bad, and offer advice on how to choose, create and maintain the perfect peer review group.
