Heroes of the Art District: We will present DAS as a place where our community can help each other through team building with a diverse group of individuals, and by doing so further our individual skills as artists. Several DAS artists will present individual projects that they're working on and how they've been able to do so utilizing the outlet that is the diversified community of DAS. My personal presentation will be ‘Heroes of the Art District.’ This will highlight a few members of the La Alma (Sante Fe Art District) neighborhood for their contributions to the community and youth outreach. I plan to visually depict these individuals in a comic super hero style. A film will also be presented by Frank and Kim Guerrero that highlights the La Alma neighborhood (Sante Fe Art District), with emphasis on community outreach.
