Hacking the Brain in Games

The brain is just another “computer” an interpretation of patterns of electrical inputs. We interpret our reality and make decisions based on logic and the “programming” we’ve learned over our lives. Game designers have used this knowledge to make their players more motivated, empathetic to characters, and become quicker learners. We will discuss and demonstrate how creators have hacked our brain in the past and how we can do even more in the immersive games of the future.
