Queer Fantasy is just as important as straight fantasy! If we're always modeling queer as political, we're always modeling queerness in a framework of a straight world. What qualifies as a queer fantasy, and how can we define it to help shape our game designs and emergent play. Bullet Points - Lesbisnakes, half lesbian half snake fantasy creatures in my game A Cozy Den - Game mechanics are inherently political - Queer Identities in America are inherently political - Modeling queer identities in games is important - BUT if we're always modeling queer as political, we're always modeling queerness in a framework of a straight world - Games of escapism and empowerment outside of straight mainstream culture - Things like Call me By Your Name, Dream Daddy, my game A Cozy Den - Queer Fantasy = a place where our identity is not politicized, integrated or separate from mainstream culture, happy ending - Roleplaying power fantasies the same way straight people do
