Encaros is a boffer LARP using introductory rules to the idea of “What you see is what you get” (WYSIWYG) gaming. Players will select a class similar to DnD, pick a faction to join, and be lead on a short (but dangerous) adventure through Encaros. Players can play once and go experience everything else ENC has to offer, or they can see the effects of their choices culminate into a finale at the end of the session! This LARP will take place over 6 activity blocks, each segment of the LARP will be different from the rest. Each day of camp will have 2 activity blocks (1 & 2). You may join the larp during any segment, but to get the full experience we recommend participating each activity block. We will have opportunities to participate as an NPC as well. Players wishing to participate in the LARP should. attend the LARP safety session in the afternoon of the first day of camp (8/15). Encaros was a land of two factions warring for years untold. Their clashes in the past can only be described as devastating; the magic and tactics of both sides destroyed many protections the land once carried and awakened old mysteries better left locked away. But that was then… It’s been 100 years since peace was found between the Volusians and the Ta’Kar. The result is a land that has prospered. Stone that once loomed tall above the city separating the land, have been taken down and repurposed to make roads linking communities. Soil that was once cracked and barren, now grows bountiful crops to feed the ever expanding communities. But the darkness is never really gone….
