Programming a Portal-like in Unity

C150

Friday September 28, 2018 - 11:00 am to 12:45 pm

[This submission is for Dev-Day] In this code-heavy presentation, Jason Conaway (co-founder of Exultant Games), will demonstrate how to make 3D portals in Unity. These are true portals that you can see through, move through, throw objects through, and have AI-controlled agents navigate through. If that's not enough motivation to attend, there may be cake at the end of the presentation. Okay, the cake may be a lie, but the content in this presentation is no joke. Attendees should have knowledge of programming (ideally in C#), computer graphics, vector math, and Newtonian physics. So grab your companion cube and learn about the creation of virtual dynamic non-Euclidean spaces.
