Great Hall - 3501EFGH (Upper Level)

Friday May 20, 2016 - 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Tom Kane's tremendous vocal range has led to a busy career. Every week, he records literally dozens of Movie Trailers, Commercials, Network TV Promos, Video Games and Cartoons, most notably as the Voice of Yoda in Star Wars The Clone Wars. In addition to voicing Yoda, he has voiced lead roles in The Powerpuff Girls, Robot Chicken, Kim Possible, The Avengers, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Iron Man, The Wild Thornberrys, Wolverine and the X-Men and many more. Kane has been in almost every Star Wars game ever made, as well as games based on Star Trek, The X-Men, Batman, The Avengers, The Lord of the Rings and more. Farmer’s very first voice over audition was for Goofy. When he auditioned for the voice, he studied the way the original actor Pinto Colvig performed as Goofy in the 1930s and 1940s cartoons. He studied the hilarious laugh and the distinctive “gawrsh”. He inherited the voice of Goofy (as well as Pluto), around the same time Tony Anselmo inherited Donald Duck, and Wayne Allwine and Russi Taylor did likewise for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, respectively. Farmer also played Goofy in A Goofy Movie (1995), its sequel, An Extremely Goofy Movie (2000), the Kingdom Hearts series of video games, Goof Troop (1992), which centered around the character and his son, Mickey Mouse Works (1999), House of Mouse (2001), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (2006). Goofy is one of Disney’s Sensation Six™, a collection of their most popular characters. He originated the voice of Horace Horsecollar in Disney’s version of The Prince and the Pauper and has played him ever since. Farmer also performed additional voices on The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse (1987), and Astro Boy (2004). Jeremy Jaden Shada, born January 21, 1997, in Boise, Idaho, US; is an American teen actor and singer who currently provides the voice of the young adventurer, Finn on Cartoon Network’s Emmy-nominated series Adventure Time. He is also starred in Nick Cannon’s live-action sketch comedy series, Incredible Crew on Cartoon Network. Jeremy has guest starred as the young Charlie Pace in childhood flashbacks on Lost, and guest starred on many other television series including Parenthood, Nip/Tuck, Ghost Whisperer, Shark, Stacked, The Loup, Good Girls Don’t, ER, Parenthood, and Cold Case. His other animated projects include Team America, Batman the Brave and the Bold, Chowder, Super Crazies, Penguins of Madagascar and Paranorman.
