Do Modern Warfare and TF2 leave you looking for something more? Do you look at Garry’s Mod, Skyrim: Warzones, or Brutal Doom and think “wow, I’d like to do that”? Are you just a fan of building stuff in Minecraft or rushing through survival mode in the Doom remake? Then you just may have what it takes to be a level designer! Join us as we discuss the finer details of FPS level design using the granddaddy of them all: DOOM! Id Software’s landmark shooter is a perfect gateway, easy to start, but deep enough that the lessons learned can be applied to any shooter. No experience needed, we’ll cover all the basics! And we mean everything – tools, terms, and techniques, by the time we’re done you’ll be able to make a playable map in 20 minutes flat, and you’ll have the know-how to make a great one.
