Thursday September 1, 2016 - 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Moderated by SAG/AFTRA actor Karl Brevik and paneled by professional actors and experienced cosplayers and performers, this panel is filled with tips on how to not only look like your character, but act like them too. Providing examples and exercises, and using their experience as professional characters, the panel will discuss topics such as improvising as a character, how to interact with others in fun and respectful ways that still stay true to the character, posing for the camera as different character types, and how to make cosplaying for children and fellow fans a full experience. Other topics will include how to portray villainous and mischievous characters (How to keep Deadpool fun but not annoying) and how to make almost any character kid friendly. This panel is full of actors and cosplayers that rely on experience and theatrical training to answer all questions and provide interested cosplayers the tools they need to begin character performances.
