There's something about the vast frontier of space that stirs the human imagination, and an abundance of science fiction stories is one of the aspects that initially drew many fans to anime. The Japanese industry continues to provide us with excellent speculative fiction, and--while there are plenty of laser gun battles and escapist romps--there are also the stories that mirror our own reach for the stars. This is a panel for those whose parents told them stories about the moon landing, who idolize astronauts and love planetariums, who watch the livestreams of SpaceX launches--come for a dose of good hard science fiction anime.
