The Making of Shadow Brawlers, and Inca Games' Fight to Foster the Spanish LatAm Games Industry

Room 203

Thursday October 11, 2018 - 4:30 pm to 4:55 pm

[Speaker: Elizabeth Olson] In this session, you'll hear how the Buenos Aires-based 3-person Team Guazu transitioned from hobbyist developers to their first professional game (Shadow Brawlers); what challenges they faced and lessons they learned along the way. Additionally, you'll hear from Inca Games' Marketing Director what the Spanish-LatAm incubator and publisher is doing to foster the region's game industry while focusing on games for and from this underserved emerging market. Facundo shared the email from Sunni regarding the Publisher/Funder Meet & Greets on Friday. While Inca Games is an incubator/publisher, we are seeking funding and co-publishers for regions outside LatAm to help us bring Shadow Brawlers and our other 2 titles to market. Do we qualify? I wanted to double-check before I respond to Sunni. Finally, have you distributed the press list yet? I'd love to get a few emails out before I hop on a plane Thursday morning. Got my hotel/plane booked and Fernando arrives in LA Thursday morning, so we're getting excited! Do you have imagery (logos, etc) that you would like us to use to promote IndieCade on our social channels?
