Pretty much everyone has heard of, and even played, Street Fighter! The granddaddy of all fighting games! This is where it all started! But did you know that this one game spawned an entire genre of video games, and the dedicated, passionate community that plays them? No? Well you will now! ROUND ONE! FIGHT! Join Level 3 X Factor Cosplay as we examine and explore this unique genre of games and the community around it. We will briefly discuss the history of the genre, from its humble beginnings in the arcades of yesteryear to the multi million dollar franchises they are today. Then we will go over the FGC itself, highlighting some of its most notable players, and the tournaments themselves from tiny little gatherings in arcades and mini golf courses to stadium filling events being broadcast on ESPN. As a bonus we will have a trivia contest at the end testing your knowledge of Fighting Game Lingo! Do you know your curleh mustache from your mango sentinel?
