Collaboration

Not too many great artistic efforts are done alone these days. Think about George Lucas' STAR WARS without John Williams' music. Or Stan Lee's writing without Jack Kirby's art. There'd be no Star Wars or Marvel Comics. Collaborating challenges us to communicate where we're great, and where we're not so great. That way, someone else whose strengths are our weaknesses can come along and make the whole thing so much better than if we had tried it alone. Luna Cooper and Robert Soul, co-creators of the set-in-Tulsa graphic novel, Ruined My Rhythm, talk about the amazing synergism that is collaboration.
