The Modern PMO and Why It Matters

Today’s PMOs are very different creatures from the traditional PMO concept, or at least they should be. Today’s PMOs must be enablers of business performance, helping their organizations to improve their ability to achieve goals and objectives through effective project delivery. To achieve this PMOs must:
- Manage for value across all project delivery methods – waterfall, Agile and hybrid
- Connect strategy with execution through an integrated portfolio, program and project delivery approach
- Create project delivery environments where teams are autonomous and empowered to ensure ‘on benefit’ performance
