Creating and Using a Project Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB)

Waters D

Friday May 10, 2019 - 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm

Being able to identify the delta between a project's planned and actual accomplishments is the catalyst for achieving success. These "variances" communicate the "truth" about the project's status and provide the opportunity to identify root causes and quantify potential short- and long-term project impacts.

This presentation will examine how to create a meaningful project baseline and will clearly define what constitutes a "good" PMB. Attendees will learn how and when to use the decision support information that is generated when these plan vs. actual status measurements are taken.

The PMB is a vital component for project success. It's your project, use the PMB to manage it. Don't leave home without it!
