The Hero’s Journey is traced through mythology and was coined by Joseph Campbell in 1949 in his work The Hero with a Thousand Faces. Join me in a brief detailed overview of the timeless structure as we unveil common character types and the literary parts of a hero’s self-discovery. We will break down each stage, recognizable tropes, patterns we’ve all seen before, and help one another decipher story trends to keep an eye out for in the future!
