Since when did kids know more than the adults? Since Katniss Everdeen was faced with the worst mentor of all time! In the 2000's, we experienced a shift in storytelling prototypes, and the usual mentors were suddenly unreliable...or even gone. How did we get to a world where the grown-ups couldn't mentor any more, and the kids had to do it for themselves? We'll discuss the evolution of Western storytelling and society that led us here.
