In the past, mentors have played a huge part in the journey of Joseph Campbell's monomythic hero, usually in the form of a wise, experienced veteran. Bobby singer, John Winchester, Ellen Harvelle all fit the role of well-informed advisers. But does this classic, monomythic mold still hold true for the Winchesters today? Have they grown past the need for mentors? Or, have they found a way to find what they need from each other? This panel explores popular mentors in the Supernatural universe and whether or not Sam and Dean have grown beyond the need for experienced guidance.
