ED89 - History is Stranger than Fiction

ROOM 705 - Education

Saturday June 1, 2019 - 2:30 pm to 3:20 pm

Humanity has been recording itself for over 5,000 years. In that time, there have been betrayals, love stories, conspiracies, and adventures even the most energetic imagination couldn't create. So many people have characters they want to write and yet they lack the plot to do so. But there are 5,000 years of stories, so why not take inspiration from reality, from our own past? This panel seeks to make history interesting, to make it alive, and then to explain how the story of our species can be turned into a New York Times bestseller or an Oscar-winning film by twisting it just slightly.
