ED65 - Immigrants & Comic Books: The Life of Immigrant Children and Comic Books (DPL)

ROOM 707 - Education

Friday May 31, 2019 - 3:00 pm to 3:50 pm

Comic books offer a world that often uses elements from the real world to create a different one for readers. In this world, readers are allowed to expand their imagination and creativity while staying safe from the perils of the real world. For immigrant children, comic books offer this option, and then some more, as they allow them to share familiar heroes with other children their age, enable them to develop and improve their identity, gives them a glimpse of the world, and so much more.
