ED108 - Exploring the Nature of Humanity Through Science Fiction

ROOM 711 - Education

Sunday June 2, 2019 - 1:00 pm to 1:50 pm

What does it mean to be human? Is it intelligence? Is it emotion? Empathy? By using science fiction, you can get a little closer toward answering these questions, and encourage students to answer them for themselves. Originally designed as a middle school science fiction course, anyone can benefit from thinking more about these questions through consuming science fiction media like Star Trek, Twilight Zone, and short stories by Isaac Asimov.
