The panel will play the 7-minute short film, Surge of Power: Doctor Who Tribute, currently screening at Doctor Who conventions, which includes cameos of 9 actors from the Doctor Who TV show. A new expanded version of this short film will be shown for the first time at Great Philadelphia Comic Con. Attendees will also get a sneak peek of the next Surge of Power movie exclusively at Great Philadelphia Comic Con. Surge of Power Enterprises is known for producing indie superhero movies that contain lots of celebrities, campy all-ages humor, tons of Easter Eggs for geek fans, and feature cinema’s first out gay superhero – Surge! The first movie, Surge of Power: The Stuff of Heroes, features 20 celebrities, screened in 2004 and was released in 2006. The second feature film, Surge of Power: Revenge of the Sequel, includes over 50 stars, started screening in 2016, including Great Philadelphia Comic Con in 2017, won 4 awards, and was released in 2018. Continuing adventures can be seen in the web series Surge of Power: Big City Chronicles, now in its third season. The next Surge of Power movie, Surge of Dawn, is now in post-production. The Surge of Dawn movie sees the return of many sci-fi stars reprising their roles from earlier Surge of Power movies, sets the stage for the next feature film and final chapter in the Surge of Power trilogy. Attendees will be the first to see exclusive Surge of Dawn footage with the director and producer present for Q&A and have the opportunity to discuss other projects the director and producer have in store.
