Broadway Musicals of the 1940s

The 1940s marked the beginning of the Golden Age of American musical theater. At the time, Broadway featured many influential and successful works by a variety of actors, directors, and producers. Broadway allowed an escape from the difficult times that America faced and highlighted a true sense of Americana that was not prominent in society. This panel will chronicle the great musicals produced during the 1940s and describe their importance as part of the Golden Age and greater society as a whole.
