OSL, or object source lighting, is the technique of painting a figure so that it appears that a source of light hitting the character is an object that’s part of the sculpt or scene the figure is in. This class introduces the concepts that make Object Source Lighting work and how to apply them to your figure. Class Level: Intermediate Prerequisites for this Class: Intermediate brush control (ability to paint detail areas of a figure, paint eyes, paint lining between sections). Students need to understand Lighting, i.e. An understanding of where to place shadows and highlights based on the concept of light coming from above the figure
