Reaper and other companies offer quite a few transparent and translucent miniatures. These can be painted as if they were opaque, but that doesn't allow for the unique appearance that translucents can allow. But many of the techniques used on opaque miniatures don't work the same way on translucents. We will explore how to use the advantages of translucent miniatures and avoid as many of the limitations as possible on both clear and colored translucents.
