Are you struggling to place shadows and highlights on your miniatures, losing contrast and some of your main colors in the process? Is darklining tedious or scary? Let's roll back those layers and explore underpainting & pre-lining! In this class we'll briefly discuss several techniques originating in 2D painting and how to use them on miniatures. There will be brief a demo, a handout with details, and samples, but this class is mostly hands-on. It is intended for intermediate painters already comfortable with blending, glazing, and similar concepts and techniques. Please bring a good quality brush with a fine point and anything you need to see and paint details, such as a battery powered light, magnifying visor, etc.
