It’s a writer’s responsibility to create good, well-rounded characters. For writers who are cisgender or identify on the gender binary (male or female), it can be difficult to understand or even imagine what it is like to not be those things. This panel is meant to help authors understand what it means to be non-binary, trans, and genderfluid in our current society, so that they can create authentic and truthful characters that respect the experiences of people whose lives do not fall directly on the binary.
