‘OHIO Bobcat Esports: Nothing To Something' will detail the story and current progress of a student gaming organization. The panel will cover how Bobcat Esports unified multiple student gaming organizations under one umbrella with the goal of creating tournaments and a sense of community for students involved in esports on campus. Bobcat Esports developed a new concept for their organization's internal structure. This unique approach enabled them to rapidly develop their teams and growth, from a 30 member club to a now 200 strong organization in under two years. In the process we caught the attention of Ohio University and helped Ohio University extensively with planning and ideation of an esport program for students. This panel will cover the rapid growth of OHIO's esports body, and how other student clubs could utilize our approach. We will explore how this ties in with the Ohio Esports community as a whole, the state of esports in Ohio, and what this means for graduating Ohio students hoping to get into the esports industry.
