Fire Show

East Hall - Main Events

Saturday July 24, 2021 - 10:00 pm to 10:30 pm

It’s the dead of summer, and things are heating up in Night City. Where machine meets flesh and money is law, the corporations have turned most of the people of Night City into sad, mindless drones. Johnny Silverhand, SAMURAI front-man and voice of this generation’s protest, is hosting a concert for like-minded citizens of southern California’s burgeoning megalopolis. A place to come together outside the prying eyes of corporate shills and well-financed rats, the annual concert has become a place for expression in the otherwise bleak landscape, and a way for the hopeless to be invigorated against their oppressors. Hopefully, they can make it through the night without any problems… “Wake the #@$% up, Samurai. We’ve got a city to burn.” The METRO Fire Show is coming back again for 2020! Inspired by 2020’s much anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 game, a story of the eternal struggle between human beings and the systems that oppress them comes to life in a visually thrilling cyberpunk aesthetic. Watch as the citizens of Night City cling to the feelings of hope that keep them going from day to day as society continues to collapse around them under the weight of corporate warfare and capitalist fatigue. Is there anything they can do to resist the inevitability of the machine? See how these diverse and hardened people stay themselves against the systems that have left them to rot, and find the spark that ignites the fire of rebellion at the METROCON 2020 Fire Show!
